[VIDEO] Evidence for the Existence of God — New New World Order Video Series – Episode 2

Evidence for the existence of God that you have not heard elsewhere. This is the outline for the video series. Will have some quotes from famous scientists like Einstein and Max Plank, as well as Darwin. Things like how free will and knowledge of the future actually DON’t contradict each other… and lots more.

Peace. God Bless.

Why We Should Ignore Terrorists and Murderers

So I vaguely heard something about another shooting recently and kindly asked not to hear any more

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but a lot of these people who go HAYWIRE and shoot up buildings full of people or commit terrorist acts do so for ONE PRIMARY REASON…

Consider those loooong manifestos they leave, or the nature of the crime, which is usually targeted against one specific group (a race, religion, age group, etc.) containing a statement in and of itself.

Don’t you think that most of these murderers weighed their options and decided it would be worth the risk to commit these horrible acts of violence? I bet you that a large part of that motivation was the infamy and public attention they knew they’d receive from the media and in private conversations.

Let’s also glimpse at the other side of the argument: What are the positive aspects of spreading this story?

  1. Remembrance of the deceased — but people die everyday and we don’t feel the need to know all their names and remember them if we didn’t know them personally…
  2. Awareness — though I think we’re all aware that these kinds of bad things happen by now…

It is my opinion/belief that if the cultural norm was for the media to downplay or totally ignore airing such horrible tragedies then we’d have much fewer of them.

What do you think?

God bless,

The Tao Te Ching and God: Does Tao = God?

Now I’m not technically (whatever that means) a Taoist, and Taoism has gone through many changes (PERVERSIONS, if you ask me) since the earliest conception of the philosophy/religion which existed even before Lao Tzu, but if you read a good translation of the Tao Te Ching (which is Taoism’s core text–I suggest the translation by Johnathan Starr to begin with) it sure does seem that TAO = GOD.

There are lots of verses that point to this idea, but I’d like to simply share one that is especially PROFOUND.

These are the first 4 lines of the first verse of the Tao Te Ching:

“The Tao that is the Tao, is not the true/everlasting Tao.

The Name that is the Name, is not the true/everlasting Name”

Pretty cryptic huh? GET USED TO IT! The Tao Te Ching and Taoism is HIGHLY cryptic, which is a big part of its BEAUTY and INTRIGUE. Let’s try replacing the word TAO with the word GOD:

“The God that is the God, is not the true/everlasting God.

The Name that is the Name, is not the true/everlasting Name”

What this means to me is that the God that you (as in ANYBODY) think of as God, is not the TRUE form/understanding of God. God transcends ALL understanding of anyone or anything that is not God itself. NOBODY CAN UNDERSTAND GOD, or even begin to understand God, because that is how profound and incredible God is. That is what the Tao Te Ching is saying here.

By the same reasoning, whatever name or label you ascribe to God (“God” included haha) is not the TRUE name of God, which (if there is one) cannot be spoken by mere mortal mouths or confined to a set of letters.

A little food for thought. Do you guys think that Tao = God?

The PRACTICAL Application of Luke 6:41-42 and Matthew 7:3-4 : How to Really Live the Word of God and Get that Log Out of Your Own Eye!!

41 “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 42 “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye. [The Gospel of Luke 6:41-42]

3 “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. [The Gospel of Matthew 7:3-5]

– – – – –

How can we apply Jesus’ (peace and blessings be upon him) teachings here in our own life, in a very practical, down-to-earth way? I think I’ve finally figured this own out! (God forgive me if I’m wrong)

The only way to do it is to focus ALL of your attention on improving yourself, so that there is none left for criticism or suggestion to other people on how they can improve. Even if such suggestions come from a good place, are 100% correct, and are delivered gently… if they ARE NOT ASKED FOR then do people ever really take them to heart? Maybe sometimes, but the truth is that if somebody doesn’t want to change… they wont.

But I hear you saying–But my husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, mom/dad, brother/sister need to hear this because they’re causing themselves and others needless suffering or acting unrighteously, etc. etc. This may be VERY TRUE… buuuut… so long as they can blame you for something, or say, well you’re not perfect either, or whatever excuse they use to justify their behavior to themselves, THEY WONT CHANGE.

Here’s what you can do! —-> Be so good and nice and blameless that they will have to realize that it’s NOT you who’s creating the problems and then they’ll see that it is them… or at least get off your case!

WARNING: They will subconsciously use all their tricks to get you to loose your cool and contribute to the problem. They will act OUTRAGIOUSLY to do so before they’ll consider themselves and their own actions. DON’T LET IT GET TO YOU and DON’T TAKE IT PERSONALLY. (it’s just the devil doing his best to ruin you both) If you can survive this onslaught and remain compassionate and calm, then you’ll grow in ways you never imagined possible.THIS IS YOUR TEST. Treat it as such, and expect it to be a tough test indeed.

Much love to you all and God bless.

P.S. – Feel free to vent about the ONE WHOSE DRIVING YOU CRAZY in the comments below! better you get it off your chest here so you can face them without that resentment in your heart. But remember to do it with compassion and understanding. Just because we (and they) don’t understand them doesn’t mean they don’t have REAL REASONS to act that way…. Better yet… VENT about how YOU drive other people crazy and keep an eye on the log in your own eye… Ah-ha!🙂

Want to Chat About Ancient Scriptures Online?

I was going to start a meetup group, but thought that I’d first see if there was any interest here to have an online meetup group to chat about our favorite passages from ancient religious/philosophical scriptures of all sorts. Then we wouldn’t be limited to a certain location, but could share perspectives from all around the world! If interested, please post a comment and let me know🙂

Here is my description of the group:

What do some of the ancient scriptures say, and what does that mean to you or what feelings does it evoke? Bring your favorite passages from the scriptures of the Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, Confucian, Jewish, Christian, Islamic, or any other pre-Islamic era religion/philosophy (ancient Greek or Mesoamerican philosophy, for instance) to share and discuss.

The format will probably be that we each read a passage that we brought and then talk about how each of us felt about it and share thoughts and ideas. This isn’t the place to debate the validity of one scripture over another, nor to judge or even understand one another’s beliefs… And definitely not to try to convert anyone to your beliefs please🙂

The point is to share and discuss ancient religious/philosophical writings from the past that we find inspiring, interesting, frightening, baffling, or maybe just cool!

I’ve always had a keen interest in the texts that shaped people’s lives, civilizations, and consequently the world and thought it would be great to meet other like-minded people to learn and (hopefully humbly) grow in knowledge and wisdom together.

Do you wonder what ancient peoples believed? Love stoic philosophy? Have a favorite Bible verse you’d love to talk about? Curious about what the Qur’an actually says? Struggling to unlock the secrets of the Tao Te Ching? Love to ponder the Dharmas? Or have any other ancient scripture based quandary? Me too! Let’s chat🙂
