1) God gave us free will. If you knew God was real, then you’d also KNOW that if you don’t do certain things and do do certain things you’d be risking going to hell. If you knew that, then although you would technically have free will, you practically wouldn’t be free to make certain choices that would send you to hell because you’d be WAY too extremely terrified of that possibility to risk it… God is a God or Righteousness. Isn’t it more righteous to allow people to choose how to live their lives freely, then to threaten them with torture if they do certain things. Heaven and Hell are not punishments but choices that we make. When we die, our state at that time become our ETERNAL, UNCHANGING state. If we died having made the choice to create suffering in others and thus simultaneously create suffering in ourselves, then our eternal choice is for suffering. If we die in a state of choosing to foster peace and love, then we shall live eternally in that state. There are other prerequisites, like believing in God is a biggie 🙂 I digress…
2) He (God) does not love arrogance. God has given us plenty of information about him through the holy books He has inspired to spread across the Earth. From every big city to surprisingly isolated villages on south-east Asian islands, practically everyone has heard of God, or has that general concept in their belief systems somewhere if they haven’t. So the choice of rejecting God is a deliberate one. One has to thing “Naw, most of the world is crazy, dumb, or delusional to believe is something like that.” Is it really so far fetched to believe that when you die you will continue living in another form. Is it any more far fetch than to say that you came out of existence from nowhere and one day you will return to nowhere. It seems easier to believe because some people adopt the notion that only what they can see and hear is real. Yet we rely on unseen radio, microwaves, gravity, electricity, the list goes on. A clue perhaps? Isn’t it a little arrogant to think that you are capable of perceiving all the layers and forces that exist around and within us. You can’t even see your own face most of the time… I think that’s a humbling thought.
God’s going to give you what you want, because He’s cool like that.
If you want to be with Him, then so shall it be.
If you don’t want to be with Him, also shall it be.
But let me tell you something about God,
and then not being with God.
God is all the good things and feelings in the world, without a trace of the negative.
Not being with God is to be cut off from any trace of that.
No hope. For hope is good.
So when you choose your ETERNITY you’ve got to choose.
God or no God?
If you guys have been following my blog then you know that I almost NEVER POST VIDEOS. (God Bless you guys by the way. Every new follower really gives me a renewed sense of purpose and a deep joy. I pray for the best for all you.) So when I do, you better believe it is SIGNIFICANT. Read the title, and watch this and the videos in this guy’s series.
Eternity is a LOOONG time. I’ve found myself wondering lately what we will do with all that (non) time. I mean, it sounds like even an eternity in heaven might drive you crazy!! But, as usual, God has answered my question (Praise God!) in this video:
Continue reading “Will you get BORED in HEAVEN?”
Maybe life’s so long and complicated so that we have some stuff to talk about in eternity…
Change is a product of time.
Without time there can be no change.
Without time there is only eternity. Forever.
Life after death is transcendent of time.
Therefore, however you begin your life after death will be your Eternity.
The state of your soul when you die will become you, eternally, forever.
Try to be AWESOME in your life and when you die,
So that you’ll be AWESOME for all eternity.
(And by AWESOME I might righteous.)
Lately I’ve been thinking and blogging about the difference between SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
Something I’ve noticed is that a one can mature physically, which encompasses mentally as well (as thoughts are created by the brain, a PHYSICAL organ), but that doesn’t necessarily mean they have any level of spiritual maturity.
So what is spiritual maturity? It’s VERY difficult to describe, and this ELUSIVENESS is intrinsically part of it’s nature. If you think about it you’ll realize that things to do with the spiritual are SUBTLE. God’s existence, for instance, is subtle. So is the soul, or else we’d have found a way to identify/measure it. Even spiritual wisdom is very subtle, and not easy to grasp like concrete knowledge (math, basic science, history, etc) is. It is not so black and white, right and wrong, and even when it seemingly is… it isn’t.
I think that the Tao Te Ching is a book primarily concerned with achieving the utmost in SPIRITUAL MATURITY. It stresses harmony with the nature of things, detachment (but not in the sense that you don’t care, you just don’t define yourself in terms of your relationship to things, people, and ideas), and knowing without thinking (the basis of psychic ability and spiritual wisdom).
I think that I’ll start going through the Tao Te Ching and my opinions and understanding of it in future posts. It’s a cryptic book, but contains great wisdom. It has benefited me greatly in my life, perhaps it shall do the same for you. I’ll leave you now with an excerpt from that text…
“The Sage is like Heaven and Earth
To him none are especially dear or is there anyone he disfavours
He gives and gives without condition offering his treasure to everyone
The universe is like a bellows
It stays empty yet is never exhausted
It gives out yet always brings forth more
Man is not like this
When he blows out air like a bellows he becomes exhausted
Man was not made to blow out air
He was made to sit quietly and find the truth within”
